Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information IntaSkin collects when you use this website, why we use it and the choices you have. IntaSkin is the controller of your personal information. If you have any questions, please contact us.

What we collect

  • Orders: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, the products you buy and any notes you add. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we don’t receive or store your full card details.
  • Your account: if you create one, your name, email address and a securely stored password, plus your order history and saved addresses.
  • Sign-in codes: when you ask for a code by email, we keep a scrambled copy of it for up to 10 minutes so we can check it.
  • Newsletter: your email address and the date you signed up, if you choose to join.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
  • Technical information: your IP address (used to protect sign-in and forms against abuse) and the cookies described in our cookie policy, including how you arrived at our site, which we record with your order.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To take, deliver and support your order — necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To run your account and sign you in securely — necessary to provide the service you asked for.
  • To keep records for tax and accounting — to meet our legal obligations.
  • To answer your enquiries — our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To protect the website against fraud and misuse, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts — our legitimate interest in keeping the site and your account safe.
  • To send you our newsletter — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with companies that help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

  • our payment provider, to take your payment securely;
  • delivery companies, to deliver your order;
  • our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its data;
  • our email delivery service, which sends order confirmations, sign-in codes and newsletters.

We may also share information where the law requires it. We don’t sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

  • Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires — typically six years.
  • Your account stays active until you ask us to close it.
  • Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
  • Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and records of failed sign-in attempts are cleared automatically within hours.

Keeping it safe

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, passwords are stored in scrambled form, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
